Abstract
It is not an exaggeration to say that Titanic is synonymous with myth-making, its stories and history itself is the cause of its status as a ‘Modern Myth’ or even a legend. Titanic epitomizes the ‘construction of a myth’ from large scale to the very minutely detailed. All that is popularly known of Titanic is arguable and full of fictional retellings. Even if some truths are
known, the discovery of the truth of the Titanic disaster will always be incomplete.
The story of Titanic is the story of human culture and the Titanic disaster is the most potent cultural happenstance of the modern world- an unbroken fascination from the very first day.
