Abstract
COVID-19 challenged our medical preparedness in lieu of unforeseen uncertainty. Its now the energy crisis that is causing environmental, economic and social turmoil and unrest. Policy interventions are not decisive but destructive. Can we not get our learnings straight to production to consumption ratio nudging? Out of the box is never going to help in this case. The basics of energy demand side management is the answer to energy crisis. Clean Development Mechanism which became a failure a while ago, shall be solution along with joint implementation. Deploy should be the mantra, earlier when fossil fuels prices were high subsidies were seeked and renewables were costlier with trade-offs, offsets, incentives, capping policies and mechanisms in place, which made only the emerged economies and the emerging economies to avail and implement it.
