Abstract
The study was conducted on the condition of television journalists during the COVID-19 pandemic in Nepal with the main objective to analyze the problems faced by television journalists during the COVID-19 epidemic period. Television journalists and administrative media journalists participated in the study using convenience and targeted sampling methods. Television journalists participate in virtual meetings and online interviews via the Internet; Most journalists have changed their work habits and content topics. Working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic is also a great option for journalists to survive financially. Television journalists suffered a financial crisis, received less pay and some lost their jobs. For most of the COVID-19 pandemic, journalists have worked at high risk of transmitting the virus. Part of the organization follows public health and safety guidelines provided by the Nepal government. Most organizations offer flexible working hours to television journalists. Reporters followed text-messaging instructions on using sanitizer, masks and practicing social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic. Journalists are provided with masks, hand sanitizer and PPE when reporting at the scene. In general, WHO guidelines and programs have been followed during the pandemic.
