Abstract

This present study offered quite a rich experience of studying the HR management in terms of automation and job displacement. The research objective of the study is therefore to help the HR professionals gain an insight into how automation affects the workforce so that they can be in a better position to cope with the changes. It examines the following essential scholarly issues in relation to assessing the impact of automation on employees and providing solutions for training employees and transforming the organizational culture to overcome job automation, and for the proper use of automated technologies. The study uses qualitative content analysis, and the data collected is retrieved from scholarly articles and papers on automation and its effects on job displacement and human resource management strategies. The practical implications of this research can be useful for the HR practitioners; the conclusions derived from this study enrich the literature about the future of work.
