Abstract
The concept of Homo Civile (Civil Man) was introduced as an authentic subject of civil society. The historical chronology and evolution of the concept of "civil society" are presented.
Various aspects, principles, and concepts of civil society are analyzed, including the concept of the rule of law in the context of civil society. The criteria, attributes, structure, functions, characteristics, qualities, and issues of civil society are defined. Cultural identity, competitiveness, openness, and the modernization of consciousness are examined within the framework of civil society.
The dominant role of the cultural component in the homeostasis of civil society is noted.
