Abstract

This research paper explores the relationship between Germanic mythology and Persian mythology, with a specific focus on their respective pantheons of gods. By conducting acomparative analysis, this study aims to uncover potential interconnections and parallelisms between themythological traditions of these two cultures. Drawing from primary sources such as the Prose Edda for Germanic mythology and the Avesta for Persian mythology, as well as secondary scholarly works, this research examines the gods and their roles within each mythology. Through a systematic comparison, similarities and divergences will be identified, shedding light on potential cultural exchanges or shared mythological themes between these distant ancient civilizations. The findings of this research contribute to a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness of ancient mythologies and provide insights into the ways in which cultural narratives and beliefs can transcend geographical boundaries.
