Ego in Being with Authenticity

What is the person? Who am I, and who are you, reader? This manuscript completes the picture of Psyche as a structure of feelings intermediary between drives and the Mind (and thus Reality), from which Ego emerges as subject’s comprehensive, motivated idea. Although it is a software formation, it is structured like any object: its elements, sentiments, have continuity forming a "body" - character, spanning maturity and moderation, and a "surface" or visible aspect - subjectivity, spanning personality and complacency. It is into totality that Ego relates to the Being of world, others, and itself, managing the complex framework of emotions and ideas. This process begins with drives, dominated by satisfaction (pleasure) culminating in happiness, and expands to encompass feelings of materiality and spirituality, selfishness and altruism, friendship and love. Many emotions and feelings are subject to extroverted and introverted pushes that find balance and integration in authenticity, much as the virtues of mediate and balance do in other dimensions. Further chapters of the “Book of Feelings”, ghost book that was never completed, are unnecessary; however, I wished to add a Finale as a personal reflection. I wanted to convey to the reader just how long, demanding, and arduous this study was, yet also how thrilling and rewarding. I hope the results achieved prove equally interesting.
