Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming business promotion by enabling organizations to analyze customer data, automate marketing activities, personalize communication, and improve decision-making. Unlike traditional promotional approaches that often rely on broad customer segments and historical assumptions, AI-driven promotion uses machine learning, natural language processing, recommendation systems, predictive analytics, and generative AI to deliver more targeted and adaptive marketing experiences. This research paper examines the role of AI in business promotion, w ith particular attention to customer engagement, marketing efficiency, brand awareness, and business growth. The study adopts a secondary-research methodology and synthesizes findings from academic literature, industry surveys, official reports, and documented business cases. The analysis indicates that AI can improve promotional relevance, reduce repetitive marketing work, support real-time customer interaction, and help businesses identify emerging consumer preferences. However, its benefits are not automatic. Data-quality problems, privacy concerns, algorithmic bias, inaccurate AI-generated content, implementation costs, cybersecurity risks, and the possible loss of human empathy create significant challenges. The paper argues that AI should not be treated as a replacement for marketing judgment but as an augmentation tool that combines computational capabilities with human creativity, ethical reasoning, and relationship-building. The study concludes that businesses, particularly SMEs and startups, should adopt AI gradually through clearly defined use cases, transparent data practices, human oversight, and measurable performance indicators.
