Abstract
Energy management includes the planning and operation of energy-related generation and consumption units. The goals are resource conservation as well as climate protection and cost reductions, while ensuring the energy needs of users. The energy controlling division supports cost- and material-efficient energy and material flow management. The key issue in energy management is a paradigm shift in thinking. Actors in the energy sector are used to the fact that there is a supply market in the energy sources market. The essence of the new paradigm shift to be implemented in energy management can be summed up in the fact that the goal system of the energy policy, which until now has only been aimed at always achieving supply surplus, will fundamentally change. Ultimately, consumers paid all the costs of energy supply management, and this has maximized the high profits of companies operating in the energy sector.
